Steve Gray is the founder and owner of
Blazer Inc. Custom Homes

I started in the homebuilding business in Houston, Texas in 1971, working as a carpenter for a custom builder. We formed, framed and corniced the homes. After the sheetrock we built the cabinets, hung the doors and installed the interior wood trim.

After several years of honing my carpentry skills I was offered a job as a construction manager with another custom home builder. I accepted in order to further my knowledge and skills as a builder. Then, in 1983 I formed my own custom building company, starting with remodels and progressing to custom homes.

In 1986 the Texas recession was in full swing, so I took an opportunity to move to California where I first incorporated and became Blazer Inc. custom homes. Engaged in additions, remodels and new custom homes I further sharpened my skills, especially in the use of stucco, tile, and other fine products rarely seen in Texas.

After several years building homes in California and building a family with my beloved wife Diane, we longed to move back to Texas to be with our family and friends. With relatives in Dallas, Houston, Kingsland and San Antonio, we decided that Central Texas would be the best place to settle down and raise our family. We are now firmly established in Georgetown, Texas, and have become one of its premier customer home builders.

Reputation, knowledge, and over 30 years of experience have made Blazer Inc. the successful company that it is today. My best credentials are the kind and enthusiastic words spoken about my homes by the people now living in them.
